Amey is a fun-filled and light hearted person. Deservedly, he ought to get a car justifying his persona. He was pretty clear with his requirements. What he wasn’t sure about was the budget to get the right car. And to eventually land up with a car that’s as good as new, his happiness levels were sky high. Read on to find how Autogenius played a part in his ownership experience of an almost new Hyundai i20 Active.
What Amey was looking for?
It was supposed to be his family’s first car and thus it should be a special one. With decent budget on-board, he had a checklist of his own to filter out the car:
- Not more than 40k kms driven
- Engine should be in a healthy condition
- Good ground clearance
- Low on maintenance
- Manual transmission
- Spacious on the inside
Apparently, Amey also had an unusual requirement of color. He wanted a color which is not-so-common around. The whites, the blacks, the reds, the silvers were naturally skipped. So, we had a task on our hands. Find a great car, that too a different color.
The One to Choose from…
Considering the budget and the requirements, there were multiple options for a hatchback,
- Maruti Suzuki Baleno
- Honda Jazz
- VW Polo
- Hyundai Elite i20
- Tata Tiago
But Amey wasn’t completely happy with any of them, even though he didn’t dislike them either. After going through these options, he agreed upon increasing his budget a bit but now the focus was shifted to one of his top requirement, ground clearance. We thought it would be great to consider SUVs as well, now that we have upped the budget a slight. There were quite a few options available in this segment too,
- Ford Ecosport
- Renault Duster
The Perfect Balance
‘Good things come to those who wait’, they say and that’s what happened when we came across Hyundai i20 Active. Believe it or not, the car was mere 3000-kms driven with all the high end specs. The projector headlamps, silver finished alloys, touchscreen infotainment to list a few. Being a crossover, it was perfectly suitable to tackle all the bad roads with its impressive ground clearance. Not to forget the color, Earth Brown as Hyundai calls it, will always remain its distinction. Now that’s what you call a Perfect Car for a Perfect Price!
